The Village Home Project
The Village Home Project is our fundraising campaign dedicated to breathing new life into our 97-year-old 1848 sq ft structure located in northeast Detroit. In addition to $150,000, we are seeking your expertise and donated goods and services to bring the dream to life.
The renovation will take place in two major phases. With support from a diverse group of contributors, we aim to employ:
1) Skilled trade professionals, including youth in the construction trades. to handle critical improvements, like plumbing, electrical, structural beams, etc. to ensure the home is safe and functional.
2) Volunteers - the week of June 23, 2025 - to add the finishing touches—painting, landscaping, assembling furniture, and furnishing the space to create a warm, welcoming home.
